Visit Frenchtown in October to witness Autumn in full swing! The streets are decorated with pumpkins and cornstalks, and shops all over town are displaying their best Fall window displays.
Each year, the Frencthtown Business & Professional Association teams up with the Art department at Frenchtown Elementary School to bring the sidewalks to life with Scarecrows designed and built by students! Beginning October 24th, bring the family to stroll town and support our local Elementary School art department – and let the little ones vote for their absolute favorite Scarecrow!
On Saturday, October 28th, the dead come to life with the Frenchtown Zombie Crawl!! Our makeup artists are ready to turn you into the gnarliest, goopiest walking dead for only $5! Another fun family event! Starting at noon, enjoy spooky stories and sculptures from Frenchtown Elementary School students, followed at 1pm with a riverside reading by local published children’s author Joe McGee, the mind behind “Peanut Butter & Brains” and “Peanut Butter & Aliens.” Then, once your face is sufficiently peeling off and your clothing torn, join in our ZOMBIE SCAVENGER HUNT, where you can win prizes for finding brains all over town. Crawl runs from 4pm to 7pm and there is a $5 participation fee. Monster Mash Dance Party and Prizes for best costumes.
But it doesn’t stop there! Frenchtown’s famous Halloween Parade, hosted by the American Legion, kicks off on Saturday October 28! Register at the Legion and line up at 6pm to march through town. Refreshments and prized at the American Legion.
Trick or Treating on Halloween night, Tuesday October 31st, when the kids take over town!
