Dear Frenchtown:

I wanted to give you an update on the Borough’s response to Winter Storm Jonas that is currently blanketing our area.

Our Public Works Department has been working around the clock to keep Frenchtown’s roads passable for first responders. This has been a difficult task as two of our three plow trucks suffered have mechanic issues during the snow event. We currently have two of the trucks back in operation and Frenchtown will be receiving some assistance from the County of Hunterdon. I would like to personally thank Mike, Mike and Larry for their fine work to date. I also appreciate the assistance that is being given to us by the County of Hunterdon.

In addition to Public Works, our first responders are working hard to meet individual needs as they arise. The Frenchtown Fire Department and Frenchtown Police Department have responded to medical emergencies and disabled vehicles throughout the storm. Great work team!

Given the significant snow fall that has occurred this far, I along with OEM Director Karen Hahn Harmon have signed a Declaration of Emergency for the Borough of Frenchtown. The document is attached to this message for your review.

I appreciate your continued patience as the Borough responds to Winter Storm Jonas. Please continue to stay off the roads which will help us with clean up.
