As you may be aware, the Borough has contracted with Tilcon, Inc. of Oxford, NJ to complete resurfacing work on both Kerr Street and Cedar Street through the Borough’s membership in the Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council. The milling portion of the project was completed today and the paving work, to finish each road, was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020. The contractor has notified the Borough that the paving schedule has been accelerated and the work will now be completed tomorrow, Friday, November 20, 2020. The contractor will begin paving the base pavement on Kerr Street at 7:30 AM and then proceed to install the surface course on Cedar Street while Kerr Street cools. Once the resurfacing work on Cedar Street is complete, the contractor will return to Kerr Street to complete the final resurfacing work. During the work on both roads, there may be delays and access may be limited during the installation of asphalt courses. The Borough and its representatives will do their best to accommodate residents during the work. The remainder of this work is expected to be complete by tomorrow afternoon.
