July 13, 2014 –
We are looking for a few volunteers to help us with some work at the Frenchtown Preserve on Sunday, July 13.
We need to cut vines from trees, remove invasive shrubs and repair some deer fencing at the preserve. This is an ideal opportunity to help make the beautiful preserve a better place for people to hike and enjoy while learning about forest management, ecology and basic plant identification.
If you can lend a hand, please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0549aeab2ca3fc1-forest.
We'll meet in the gravel parking lot on Horseshoe Bend Road just south of Route 12 at 10 a.m.
Volunteers should wear long pants and close-toed shoes, and bring water and snacks. This event will be held rain or shine unless the weather is too severe.
For more information about the event, please contact our Land Steward Tom Thorsen at 908-237-4582 or tom@hunterdonlandtrust.org.
