Memorial Day Parade
May 26, 2014 –
Frenchtown’s American Legion is again hosting ceremonies and the Memorial Day Parade. Lineup is across from the school at Old Frenchtown Field at 9:30 a.m., where the parade steps off at 10. There will be gun salutes at Frenchtown Elementary School to lay a wreath at the foot of the Doughboy statue, at the Legion for remarks, at the bridge for the annual flyover and casting of flowers into the river below, and at the Frenchtown Cemetery on Trenton Avenue to pay respect. Please honor our veterans, our current soldiers and all those who have fallen in our nation’s defense by joining us on our traditional route down Harrison Street, along Bridge Street and down Trenton Avenue to the cemetery.
