Frenchtown Farmers’ Market 1st Annual Salsa Showdown Competition

On Sunday, July 27th the Frenchtown Farmers’ Market will present the 1st Annual Salsa Showdown competition at the Farmers’ Market in Kathee’s General Store parking lot, 4 Kingwood Avenue.  The competition will be from 11am – 2pm rain or shine. Live music, children’s crafts, cooking demos and of course our wonderful vendors are also at the Market each week.

The competition is open to all private individuals, restaurants, caterers and food service businesses.  There are a maximum of 20 slots available.  Deadline for registering is Tuesday, July 22.  Slots are filling fast so don’t delay.

The entry fee for Amateurs is $20 and for Professionals $30.  The Market will provide most of the ingredients, which is covered by the entry fees.  The public will be the judges and vote on which Salsa they thought tasted the best.  Tasting fees are $5 per adult (12+) and $3 per child (-12).  So come out and join us to taste all the entries and vote for your favorite.

1st place winner is awarded a certificate and a $100 Gift Card to the Frenchtown Inn donated by Coldwell Banker Hearthside.  2nd place winner is awarded a certificate and a $75 Gift Card to the River Blue Café and 3rd place winner is awarded a certificate and a $50 Gift Card to the River Blue Café.
