Thank you to the majority of residents who find themselves using more disinfectant wipes during this coronavirus pandemic and are correctly throwing them in the trash. A friendly reminder that disinfectant wipes, baby wipes, tissues, rags and disposable gloves are not to be flushed in the toilet as they do not disintegrate and end up clogging sewer pipes and pumps which leads to costly repairs and ultimately could lead to future rate hikes to fund.  As sewer commissioner, I appreciate everyone’s cooperation.

Sincerely,

Councilwoman Liz Johnson
