Community Paper Shredding Day in Frenchtown

Frenchtown, NJ – Frenchtown residents are invited to bring their confidential documents and files to a paper shredding event on Saturday, August 27th from 9 am to 12 noon at the Department of Public Works on Route 29, near the intersection of South Washington Street.

Please bring only confidential and sensitive materials – magazines and other non-confidential papers should be recycled curbside. The event will end sooner than advertised if the shredding truck reaches capacity.  This paper shredding is available to residents only, not businesses.

The documents and files will be recycled. Recycling reduces the need for landfilling and incineration, saves energy and decreases emissions of greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change.

The Community Paper Shredding event coincides with the monthly yard waste drop off, so feel free to bring along your brush and leaves as well.

Sustainable Frenchtown is hosting the event, which earns Frenchtown points towards its Sustainable Jersey certification. To learn more about Sustainable Jersey, see
